Amy Pond’s Greatest Moments

18th Jun 2010

Amy Pond first met her ‘raggedy Doctor’ when she was a little girl. She waited over ten years for him to return but when he finally came back she seized the opportunity to leap onboard the TARDIS and share his adventures.

Amy’s vivacity, good humour and sense of fun were clear to everyone she met, from Winston Churchill to a smitten Vincent Van Gogh. But sometimes her other attributes were not so obvious – a fierce loyalty to the Doctor, an almost childlike bravery and an unswerving determination to always do what she thought right. That could mean destroying alien monsters, standing up to the Daleks or helping out an unhappy young child.

In her travels with the Doctor, Amy saw incredible sights and met amazing people. And to the Doctor’s surprise, she sometimes read a situation better than he did, meaning they made a brilliant partnership.

But not all adventures with the Doctor end happily… In the video above we share Amy’s story, from the little girl in Leadworth to that fateful night over a thousand years ago.
